Based off the end credit scene of Kong Skull Island: sta.sh/0kpacpfza6r
When i saw this scene, it came up in my mind, did they battle before or is this some sort of prophecy?
Because of this, i came up with 2 theories
Theory 1: They fought before
In the graphic novel, Godzilla Awakening, during the Permian Era, the Shinomura was consuming a carcass until Godzilla blasted it with an atomic breath and supposedly killed it until the meteorite crashed and killed off most of the life forms and made Godzilla hibernate at the bottom of what is now today Pacific Ocean. I hypothesize that the meteorite was King Ghidorah just inside it. The 2 daikaijus battled each other but its uncertain who was victorious and why both just disappeared. But ever since the 2 MUTOs attack in San Francisco, this somehow cause not only Godzilla, but King Ghidorah and other monsters, Mothra and Rodan, to awaken and will have a battle royale in 2019 for the upcoming film Godzilla King of Monsters.
But I don't think this is the right theory because its possible the battle took place during the Permian Era, meaning this was before humans, even before the dinosaurs. This was also a cave painting that can only be drawn by humans, so it can't be Theory 1
Theory 2: Prophecy
Its a cave painting of a prophecy that they will meet each other and fight in 2019's Godzilla King of Monsters along with Mothra and Rodan. Doesn't need further explaining since it already speaks for itself.
Its most likely Theory 2 is correct.
